We are departing soon for a week in Maui followed by the BI and then to Kauai. We have ATM/Debit cards. We are wondering if there is any place that offers advantageous fee (or no fees at all) to withdraw cash at the ATM. We live in eastern Pennsylvania. In our locality the Wawa convienence stores provide free cash withdrawals even though a persons' bank may change for the use of the card. Is there any such place in Maui?

I remember the Stater Bros Supermarket will give you extra cash after a purchase(i think up to $60?)

From a bank that isn't your own? What bank gives a "cash advance" to a non-customer?

Bank of Hawaii - I've been doing this for years - most often at the Lahaina location. I'm not a customer of this bank, as I live in Minnesota. Dianne

Should have added that this is done with my atm/check card, so that it comes out of my account, but without any atm fees.

Who's your "home" bank, mauigirl? It's good to know Bank of Hawaii doesn't charge for ATM withdrawals by non-customers, but your home bank also has to waive the fee (or not charge it in the first place) -- which may or may not apply to the OP (I know my bank DOES charge that fee).
