Mom, Dad, & 10 Mo Old Going to Hawaii-HELP!

We'll be in Hawaii for 10 days in late September but not sure where to stay. Fortunately / unfortunately we'll be taking our 10 month old. Any suggestions on which islands and resorts/condos to go to? We're thinking tropical, few people, and don't break the bank account.

Thanks for the help!

Leave the baby at home... you'll have more fun more sun and less fret over a sunburned infant.....
Cheap is not a word for Hawaii.. although it is better since the Japanese have had stock market problems.......
Honolulu is Chicago beach..........packed like sardines and as tourist trap as Disney and Florida..........
GO WITH OUT BABY for the childs sake and yours or take a nanny.

My family went to Maui, 2 xmas's in a row. Having our children with us, we felt a condo was the best way to go as eating in restaurants can be quite expensive. We booked our condo through Destination Resorts. We especially liked the Polo Beach Club. Perhaps you would want to request first floor. They handle several properties and found them very efficient. Hope this helps.

Just got back from a Christmas in Hawaii. It was WONDERFUL!! Just don't go during Christmas - everything is literally twice the price. If you want peace and quiet, STAY AWAY FROM OAHU and Honolulu. Kauai has a great variety of condos and beachfront cottages that are sure to fit every type of budget. The buildings aren't supposed to be higher than the palm trees on Kauai (4 floors), so everything is quiet and laid back. We rented a condo at the Embassy Vacation Resort, which was very "family friendly", although it might not fit your budget unless you find a good package deal. I definately recommend Kauai. It's small enough to be quiet and laid back, yet big enough that you can still find good food and neccessities like K-Mart and Burger King. If interested in Kauai, send me an e-mail and I'll look up the web addresses for all of the condos and vacation rentals for you. Have a wonderful vacation!

You seem to know much. Myself, wife, and 15 year old will be spending 10 days in July. Suggestions on place to stay?
