The most comprehensive is Utah's National Parks by Adkinson (that's a hiking book) I have used it to plan trips in Arches, Canyonlands and National Bridges. The HIker's Guide to Utah has highlight trips which are very good. How long do you have? How many miles do you want to do? How far do you want to drive?

Hi - I've been moving so haven't checked this in a while. Thanks for the reply. We have a week. Will hike anywhere from 1 to 8 hours. Don't mind driving an hour to get somewhere great- or more. Love Utah. Have been to Zion and Bryce for hiking. Have a lot to do yet so don't mind buying a couple of guide books.
Thanks, sue

Hi Sue,
You are going to love Moab! If you don't find a great book, just stop in to the Visitor's Center on Main Street. They have a good book section and very helpful folks.
Some of my favorites
Arches - Delicte Arch, Double O Arch, Firey Furnace
Canyonlands - Mesa Arch, Upheaval Dome
outside the parks - on the road along the CO River going east from town - Negro Bill Canyon to Rainbow Arch
on the Potash Rd - west from town, the Corona Arch
Have fun!
