If you look at the bottom right of the picture, you can see the tip of my boot and the edge a couple of feet beyond. I was sitting at this point waiting. As I recall the fin was probably 8'-9' wide. However, it has a rounded, dome-like top so the center is the place to be. The closer to the edge, the worse the angle.

It looks like #257 & 258 give a pretty good idea of it.

I like 250!!!

What is 249 and where? Very interesting.

Is 239 near the entrance to the Park? Park Ave? Very nice!!!

Hey peterboy, i've been looking at your pictures again and wow, they are absofreakinlutely amazing. I remember them when you first posted the link years(?) ago but its almost better this time. Maybe because i'm not currently planning a trip west for the first time in 12 years

So to answer your question earlier, yes i'm so "jonesn" for another trip west. Even being all over the country and europe we still prefer the great wild west. Coming from the "cluttered" busy NE, it must be the wide open spaces that are so attracitve, not to mention the glorious red rock. When is your next trip? Your photos are also great myer and will be eager to see the new ones you take next spring!

All of the images are in chronological order so 249 is somewhere in the group of arches before the dreaded fin. I want to say on the way to Navajo Arch or whatever arch is pictured in 250. Maybe someone else will recognise it. People stack the little piles of stones in the nooks so it never looks the same.

239 is along the road at Wall Street...you'll recognise the sign when you see it I'm sure.

Ellen, we were just there in early September. I'm working on the mother of all trip reports but it will be a few days until it is ready.
