Minnesota State Park within 3 hours of Mpls

Can someone recommend a State Park for camping with children within 3 hours of Minneapolis? Love the North Shore but that is too far for this particular trip.

Interested in Interstate, Banning, and any others you would recommend. Thanks.

Forestville State Park is great. It is adjacent to Mystery Cave, and it is a short drive from the Spam Museum in Austin. A very nice place to camp with kids, and plenty of other fun things to do in the area. Total driving time is about two hours from DT Mpls.

Interstate State Park in Taylors Falls. Just about an hours drive from Minneapolis.

Try Big Woods State Park in Nerstrand(sp???). It's about 20 minutes from Northfield so within an hour of down town minny. It is on of the last untouched origianl forests in our state, it has a nice river rolling through it and a great waterfall. We hike there once or twice a year and it is great, not a fishing river however.
