Things to do in Chatanooga or Huntsville, AL

Going to Winchester, TN - near Tullahoma for a weekend (Mar. 30-Apr.1.) Any recommendations on things to do/see, places to eat. Our kids are 12 & 13. Wouldn't mind driving to Huntsville or Chatanooga for a day trip. Thanks.

And of course, the Space and Rocket Center.

Chattanooga:
The downtown area is full of great places to eat and shop around.

Children's museum might be interesting - your kids may be a litle old but it is still neat. http://www.cdmfun.org/

Have fun!

In Chattanooga, the Tennessee Aquarium is fantastic. There's also an IMAX close to the aquarium; both are on the riverfront. Lookout Mountain is close as well. Downtown Chattanooga has lots of restaurants, etc. as well. Lupi's on Broad had good pizza last time I was there (several years ago).

It would want to do something "natural" take them to the state parks in the NE corner of Alabama. There's a new cavern state park and DeSoto SP. Get out in nature for a while - hike, take a picnic, etc.

Do the classic Chattanooga thing - See Rock City! A Tennessee institution!

It is pretty neat.
