Minneapolis/St. Paul Restaurants?

Can anyone recommend a good local steak restaurant that isn't too pretentious / overpriced and that would be appropriate to bring our well-behaved 5 year old DD to?

And can anyone recommend a good local Jewish style deli?

Thanks!

Unfortunately I didn't get any restaurant suggestions but I wanted to share our great eats while in the Twin Cities because we hit four great places! We were in food overload all weekend!

Cecil's Deli in St. Paul - www.cecilsdeli.com/ - wonderful Jewish style deli (which we don't have in small town Iowa), quick service, great corned beef and fries... and chocolate malts! We even bought some bread to take home... everything was delicious!

Rudolph's Ribs in Minneapolis -www.rudolphsribs.com Excellent food - fantastic ribs and brisket, great hot wings and the best corn bread EVER (but my daughter thinks otherwise). Service was better than average (I'd read some negative service reviews on tripadvisor) - especially for a table with three kids! My daughter also liked the kids activity sheet/menu.

Sunset's in Wayzata http://www.sunsetsrestaurant.com/wayzata/index.htm Excellent food again - eclectic menu. I had a lamb chop appetizer and a chocolate ganache and cheesecake that were both heavenly. My DH had a spicy muffuletta sandwich.

M & S Steakhouse and Grill in Minneapolis - http://www.mccormickandschmicks.com/...ageid=96&id=84
We were looking for a decent steakhouse that we would feel comfortable bringing our DD to and this ended up being our choice. It was stuffier than I hoped but they were able to scrounge up a kid's menu/activity sheet and even some crayons. Steaks were excellent - not so sure about the truffle oil infused french fries!

Hope this info is of help to someone.

DD = Darling Daughter

I thought I was the last person in cyberspace to figure that out!

I would recommend Mancini's Char House in St. Paul. It's been a local landmark for steaks for over 50 years with kind of a retro 1950's steakhouse feel to the place. We take our "non-well-behaved" child their all the time. It's packed on Nights of Minnesota Wild hockey games, though.
