Sorry you missed the puffins! Enjoyed your trip report and think you probably got the best and cheapest lobster dinner ever. Great score. It was fun to read where you visited compared to our mid-coast trip which was mostly in the Bath/Harpswell/Brunswick area. Bath has a great 4th of July parade and then celebrates Heritage Days on the weekend.

Enjoyed your trip report. We love Maine! My daughter graduated from Bowdoin College several years ago, and we loved visiting her there. If you return to Maine next year, I recommend making a stop in Brunswick, & the Casco Bay area, such as Harpswell, Bailey's, & Orr's Islands. The scenerey is beautiful and the seafood is so fresh! Portland is a great little city, too. do you like art? They have a great art museum, as does Bowdoin College. Have you been to Acadia National park yet? If not, I think that's another area you would enjoy visiting in Maine.

Wonderful report. You had such great weather! I enjoyed all the sightseeing, cruise, food, hotel descriptions plus your photos. DH & I had planned to visit mid-coast Maine this summer but we are so busy all summer long that we unfortunately have to postpone it for next year (or the year after...)
