Miami or Ft. Lauderdale

My sister and I are planning a trip for May and I am having a hard time figuring out where to go. I've already been to The Keys and Clearwater and I'm now deciding on either Miami Beach or Ft. Lauderdale. Which one is safer for 2 young women and where are the nicer beaches.

Joanne:

Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, FL (5 miles north of Ft. L). Heck of alot more quieter and classier than the beach to the south. Quaint beachtown w/little 3 story motels.

Both areas are nice. If you want shopping, nightlife go to Miami. Coral Gables & Coconut Grove is a 20 min drive from Miami, fun clubs, shopping and great places to eat. If you want more info, send me an e-mail.

Definitely Miami Beach. Lauderdale is for older boring people. Laud by the Sea is for very old Canadians !

Not all people who vacation in LBTS are Canadians. I am an American who is 37 - there goes your theory. You must be a bore yourself to post such a thread. Most of Florida consists of old people - stupid.

Joanne: I guess you'll have to go to Ft. L. and Miami to put up with all the fat, loud and obnoxious Americans that vacation there.
