Does anyone know if there's a boat from Miami to Key West? I know there's one from the west coast.

I've never heard of one. I suspect it's further from Miami than from the west coast of Florida. I would also suspect that the seas are a lot rougher. Obviously, the cruise ships make the trip, but they're huge!

Jean, thanks for the info and for answering my next question without my asking it. I was wondering if the water would be more rough on one coast or the other.
I finally found a site called fastcats.org that says there's a boat from Miami but it does apear to be a longer ride. Don't know if it still exists or not.
I'd love to hear from anyone who took it from either coast and what they thought of it.

Sorry, that goes from Miami to Islamorada. Long ride by boat, probably close to 200 miles because the keys are so shallow and you have to stay several miles offshore.
