Miami Beach Parking Near Surfcomber (17th and Collins)

Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to figure out what is the closest overnight parking near the Doubletree Surfcomber on 17th and Collins. They charge $39 to valet, which is plain ridiculous! I know there's some stuff on 17th, but not sure how far east, or if I'm better off with the garage at the Anchor shops on 16th, or even something else. Any help from people familiar with parking in the vicinity is much appreciated!

You're best off parking at the Anchor Shops. It's a city garage and it is a $16 per 24 hour rate, but no in or out.

Here's more info from the Miami Beach city site, scroll down to the last listing for the Anchor garage:

Perfect. I don't think we'll need in or out as we'll likely just take a cab to a couple places in South Beach, within a couple of miles of our hotel. Even if we do take the car out, it's still cheaper. Thanks for your help!!!

Correct - there are 2 city garages on 16th between Collins and Washington.

Are you renting a car or taking your own car? If renting, we find it easier to just take a taxi from MIA airport to South Beach, then pick up a car locally when we leave MB. There is a Thrifty on Collins at 16th that is very handy.

Actually, I'm bringing my own car. I live in Florida, and we're doing a girl's weekend at the beach for my sister's bachelorette. Thanks for the suggestion though. I know they have flat rates cabs from the airport.
