Message display problems? Does this work 4 u ?

I've had the same intermittent problems recently as some of you: I start browsing a forum area and when I click on "Next 50" it seems to jump WAY back in time; EG, first 50 were posts for 10/21/05 2:45pm back to 11:48am. But when I clicked "next 50" the first (most recent) on that page was 9pm the previous day.

This solution might be unique to MS Internet Explorer, but after no success with clicking the "refresh" at the top of the screen (or F5), I did a right click on the left column, found that one of the choices was "refresh", and when I did that everything now displayed correctly. I'll try it on Firefox next time I'm using that & report (if none of you have already written about it). I also use a text-only browser called "Lynx" and have had no problems at all with it.

Hope this helps some of you.

It took a few minutes for this thread to come up on the left frame. Can it be that posts take a few minutes to get re-indexed as more current? I don't much care, but I know it bothers some participants. Maybe I'll write Abby about it.

rb, we've all been bitching about this problem for a couple of weeks now.

I've had the problem once in awhile for a few weeks too, and read the bi-chin but didn't add to it. I did the "standard" refresh (F5 or click the refresh icon) which as others pointed out gave uneven results.

I don't recall if anyone suggested right clicking in the LEFT FRAME and then taking the refresh option.

It seems to work more reliably than the icon at the top does, but you must right click in the list of threads. With what we pay ! we should demand more -- or "free, and worth every cent!" ha

Hi rb, guess the old saying "you get what you pay for" applies to Fodor's, LOL. It is annoying for sure. Take care.
