Memphis: incredibly important fashion question

In Memphis in early October, do women continue to wear sandals and flipflops?

They do in NYC.

(I am talking about what you wear to walk around on a Saturday, not what you wear to your law office or charity ball!!)

It might be a little cool in Memphis at that time of year for flip-flops.

I live in NC where it stays pretty warm until mid October, but I do not wear sandals past the last day of summer no matter how warm it is out.

I love this question

My husband and I frequently spend a night or two in downtown Memphis and I can guarantee you that there's no dress code. In the bar of the Peabody Hotel, you'll see everything from shorts to sweatpants to formal wear.

To simply walk around, anything goes.
