Memorial Weekend - Whatcha Doin'?

Will you be staying home or traveling during Memorial Weekend?

I'll be home - I have a Mets game to go to that Saturday. I think I'm going to try taking the ferry from the Seaport to Shea Stadium.

Memorial Day Weekend in NYC is fabulous...most of the residents leave - feel like I've got it all to myself!

I will be taking my first trip from Hawaii to NYC (though not the 9-1/2 hour plane ride). Looking forward to it. I am also going to a Mets game, but on Sunday. Anything special I should look for in NYC over Memorial Day Weekend?

I'm taking off full week going to Vancouver and on the way back Seattle. 2nd time to Canada, the first one was a wonderful experience in Montreal and Toronto.

going to a few nurseries and working the garden - staying close to home this year, not quite over the events of the fall

It is a coincidence, but that weekend will be part of our two weeks in NYC. Any special daytime events that we shouldn't miss?

Suzanne - I'm with you! It's my favorite holiday because of the wonderful feeling of relative emptiness, especially at brunch places. And - let's go Mets! I'm currently watching them pound the Astros - who are they playing that weekend?

Hubby's going to the drag races w/the guys, so enjoying the idea of having the house to myself. Plan to visit the nursery, get some flowers in the pots, and get some sun on these fat white legs.....

I'll be on a one day expedition through a Mayan ceremonial cave in the Belize jungle. I'm hoping the tour is all it's cracked up to be - certainly appears to be the case.

Melanoma, that's what I did last year, for my nephew - so having been there and done that, just want to say G-d bless.
