MelissaHi

We have a question that maybe you can answer for us. Do you know if the performers at Chai's Bistro do more than one set an evening?
What happened is we booked tickets to the Moonlite Mele at Bishop's Great Lawn for the Brothers Cazimero and later the Makaha Sons were on the calender at Chai's the same night. We would love to see them both if possible as we don't know when our next chance will be.
Aloha

Hulajake,
Here is the link for June's entertainment schedule. We were there 5/29/07 and saw Robert Cazimero. He performed straight from 6:45 or 7 'ish until past 8 when we left with about 15 minutes intermission.

Ditto what Hanalei said! I'll double check, though. What time were you planning to come from the Bishop Museum?

We had been watching mele.com and other sites to see who maybe playing where while we are there. The Cazimeros were listed first at least on the places we checked and my sister-in-law really wanted to see them again so we got tickets as soon as they went on sale. About two weeks later maybe a little more the date for the Makaha Sons came out.
This will be the first show at Bishop's for us so not sure what to expect. It looks like though if they only have a short intermission that it is basically 1 set. We will have to see what works out in that case. Thanks for the help.

hmmm, looks like the show starts at 7. I don't think you can make it to Chai's in time without short-changing yourself on the Brothers Caz.

How long will you be in town? Makaha Sons are performing on June 16.

Thanks so much Melissa and Hanalei. I'm afraid we're surrounded by a bunch of silly people that want miracles goofy bunch wants us to work even though they know where we're going. We don't get in until the 25th so we also miss the King Kamehameha Hula Festival. We saw the lineup for the 16th and that looks like it should be a goodtime. Well we maybe able to visit some family and friends on the mainland where some of them are to play. See ya soon

hulajake, what did you ultimately do? I stopped by to catch some of the Makana Sons tonight...Chai's was PACKED! if you didn't have a reservation, you would have had to sit outside....and as you know, it was raining!

Aloha Melissa,
Sorry we couldn't meet up while we were there. We just got back home a couple of hours ago. We went on to the Bishop Museum and yes it did rain but just enough to feel like when you step in the water on a warm afternoon. The Brothers put on a pretty good show.
