meeting place in Phoenix AZ?

Dear Fodors Forum,

I am responsible for organizing a meeting of about 10-15 people in Phoenix AZ (a February 2007 weekend). We will need hotel rooms and access to a "boardroom" with a conference table.

Can anyone recommend a hotel (or guesthouse or B&B) in Phoenix AZ that might meet our needs? I know the large resorts offer these facilities but we are a volunteer professional association so I need to contain costs. I thought someplace smaller might be both more intimate and less expensive.

Carol

Look into the Embassy Suites property at 1-17 and Greenway. Althought it's a lovely property it shouldn't be too expensive. They have lots of conferences there, large and small.

Fiesta Inn in Tempe. It's about 10-15 minutes from the airport and 10 minutes to downtown Tempe, where there are plenty of places to eat/shop.
