Meeting place at LV airport

My friend and I are flying to Las Vegas (first time) from Seattle and Vancouver respectively. Our planes arrive half an hour apart so we would like to meet at the airport and taxi to our hotel together.

So my navigationally challenged friend won't have to wander too far from baggage claim and since I arrive earlier, I will catch the inter-terminal shuttle and meet her at the main terminal. Where would be an easy to find place near Alaska Airlines baggage claim for us to meet up?

May:
There is airport check in for some Hotels right at the airport. If you are staying at one of those hotels you could meet right there.

I'd go with the hotel check-in area. Even if you aren't staying there, it's easy enough to say "let's meet right outside the MGM check area". It's right next to the baggage claim area so you can't miss it.

Except no one mentioned that the MGM check in area is very poorly marked. It's a small recessed office smaller than a hotel room. You won't just see it jumping out at you. You'll likely have to ask at the information desk if you (or your friend) are having difficulty locating it.

If you'd read the initial post carefully you'd have noted that May's friend is not great with 'finding things'.
Hence, regardless of whether YOU, in your infinite wisdom, might have an easy time finding it is irrelevant.
I'm pretty good with directions and have been to McCarren 50 or more times and I didn't think it was easily spotted.

I found it very easy to find the MGM check in desk. If that's too tough, then the Paris/Flamingo check in area is huge..try that one.

ssheeesh...
Have fun May!
