If you are staying more than a few nights, you may want to consider a condo. Lots of choices on VRBO.com. Will you have a car?

The two major resort/tourist areas are Kaanapali and Wailea. Both have nice condos and hotels. You can compare the prices and amenities by googling those words paired with the word condo or hotel.

I much prefer the northern side - up past Lahaina at Kapalua or Napili Bay. Kiehei is fine - but it's busier with more people. There are so many choices of where to stay, what to do - so you have to narrow it down a bit with what you want, need, etc.

Have you read the other posts in here under Hawaii. Lots of information and the like.
