Maui - pregnant

Dear Hubby and I are going to have one last get away before we have a baby in June. Planning on heading off to Maui around the first of March. Want to snorkel and take it easy on this trip. Anyone done any traveling at 27 weeks pregnant?

Any one have any feedback about easy snorkel spots or things to be aware of?

Thanks in advance!

I was 7 months pregnant in Maui at the Grand Wailea with the Super Model Search being taped that week with 50 size zero women in the poo. You will have a great time but take precaution with waves if you are out on a boat. With my second pregnancy I was there too and did not go out on any boat as it was too choppy. No water slides or jumping off the side of a boat my doctor told me. On the plane bring water and try and get your feet elevated on your husband's lap if possible. I snorkeled all over but had one of those little kids $1.99 tiny rafts with me. They have a string that I had around my arm as you tire quicker. I also wore really slip proof shoes by the pool. Check with your doctor but you will have a great time.

A lot depends on your general health during the pregnancy. if you feel fine, you'll be fine. I flew to Portugal from California when 7 months pregnant, and had a wonderful 2 weeks. One thing to beware of though: Airlines can refuse to take you if they think you are 'too prgnant". Bring a note from your doctor, and dross in loose clothing. Better they think you're chubby than to get into a discussion over whether you can fly.
Scuba and zodiac boats are out, but snorkeling and hanging out at the beach will be fun. Wear a cute swimsuit and don't forget the big hat and sunscreen as pregnant faces sometimes get those big spots.
Have some romantic dinners out, too...thats the first thing you lose when baby comes!
