I went to Honolulu a few months ago solo and loved it. I particularly loved the beaches. Now I have an opportunity to return to Hawaii with my boyfriend, and he has never been to the islands. We only have a few days, should I take him to O'ahu for his first trip? Or should we go to Maui? Both of us enjoy the beach and will spend most of our time there. Thanks for any suggestions!

I love both, so might make my decision on the flights you can get. Can you find a non-stop direct into Maui from where you are? How short is just a "few days"?

We have 3-4 days. I don't have money to fly between the two islands, it's cheaper to fly to Honolulu but I have already been there and was wondering if the beaches are nicer on Maui? Or just different?

There are all kinds of different beaches around Oahu. To answer yes I think *some* beaches are nicer on Maui, but with such a short time I'd go for the cheaper airfare to Oahu, then find the nicest beach you can find there. Save Maui for sometime when you have at least 1+ week.

Why would cheaper airfare be important when you only have a short time?
