Maui Lodging Decision
Time = April. Budget = $200/night or less. Looking to be near Lahaina/West Maui. Considering Plantation Inn, Lahaina Shores, Garden Gate B&B, Papakea Shores. Any suggestions/advice would be appreciated. We are also open to other suggestions. Thanks in advance!!!

Aloha,
Let me suggest you check out the following condos all on the West side
and all within your price range or less.
1. Kaleialoha 2. Nohonani 3.Kulakane
4. Kuleana 5. Makani Sands 6. Noelani
7. Paki Maui 8. Valley Isle
They all have web sites so take a look
to see if any of these are what you have in mind.

Let me suggest, Aston Kaanapali Shores in Kaanapali near Lahaina.. Excellent Condo/hotel resort. Condo's have living room, full kitchen, balcony, bedroom. Also be sure to get an oceanview room. Wonderful view. (request the 8th floor)
I defintely recommend this resort. They have 2 pools, on the beach, restaurant, stores, tennis courts etc... Reasonably priced. Plus you get coupons for 2 for 1 Luau at selected resorts. I also hear Kaanapali Ali is a very nice deluxe condo, but more expensive than Kaanapali Shores.
Good Luck!!

The book, "Maui Revealed" has reviews of several condos and a website to check. I found a condo in South Kihei for $80, although I'd probably spend a little more ($100?) next time. South Kihei is rather quiet w/lots of quiet (practically abandoned) beaches heading south 'round Wailea. Have fun.

Jim & Colleen, I've stayed at Lahaina Shores twice - just returned 2 weeks ago. It's very nice, definitely not deluxe. People very friendly & helpful. Stayed at Papakea a few years ago, didn't care for it. Kaanapali Ali'i is my very favorite, but quite expensive. Aston Kaanapali Shores is also very nice.

I also stayed at the Aston Kaanapali shores for the 2nd year in a row. We rented a 2 bedroom. Great location...central to restaurants, shopping, and a grocery store right across the street. Has a good restaurant on the grounds, 2 pools, and some shops. Close to other great beaches....like Kapulua and further down by the Hyatt for good surfing/boogie boarding.

Tried that Maui Reavealed site several times, locks up my computer everytime I go to www.wizardpub.com. Anyone else having the same problems?
