Maui in Feb - reservations?
We leave Canada on Feb. 26 for 2 glorious weeks - we want to book Warren & Annabelle's and also a sail. We also need to rent a car. Any recommendations as to how soon we should reserve?

Ok, you know when you're going to be there, and you also know where you want to go. Ummm, so what's wrong with making the reservations NOW? I really don't understand the hesitation. Plus in February/March it will definitely be high season... I'd say go for it.

If I had a dime for every time someone tells me they couldn't get a seat for W&A because it was sold out, well, I'd have a pile of dimes, that's for sure. Activities sell out all the time. Some dates sell out faster than others, especially when the cruise ships are in town, or large tour groups or corporate groups book up entire activites. If there's something you really want to do, yes, make a reservation now. Most activities have no problem cancelling you 24 hours out if you change your mind--they often have a wait list of people who did not reserve in advance.

We went in Feb. 2003 and booked 6 months out. So booking now would be a good idea. We went the week of Valentines, so some activites did book fast. We reserved all tours/attractions on-line before we left.
We loved Warren and Annabelles. It was fablous. We bought the package with the food/drinks before the show and it was very good.
We took a whale watching cruise on Trilogy. Get experience. Saw lots of whales and did a dinner cruise on the Maui Princess on Valentines Day. The food was quite good compared to some dinner cruises we've been on.

Seems like there's always one here anymore. It used to be Boat Days were, what, Saturday and Wed? But I don't know anymore. I don't get to Lahaina much, but it seems like there is always a cruise ship over in Kahului. Depending on the activity, sometimes they sell out because they are part of shore excursions from the ships. Otherwise, except for when the busses from the ships hit WalMart, I don't really notice the cruisers.

I go to Maui every winter & I agree with the other posters - book now! OLL doesn't offer a discount, but for discounts on other activities, check out adventuremaui.com or barefoottours.com. I've used both of them & not been disappointed. For some adventurous whale watching, go out with Captain Steve. I've been to W&A twice, and enjoyed it both times.
