Lupe - it depends on where you're standing on the island...and then that can change unexpectedly. We just got back last weekend and had gorgeous 85 degree weather every day in Wailea. When the Kona winds blow, you can get clouds there but it's often clear in Hana. All in all, it's gonna be better there than it is for me here in Sacramento today, but December is "winter" there! Buon viaggio!

Lupe,
Went to Kauai in September. It rained a bit. The difference in the rain we're used to and the rain in Hawaii is that when it rains there it is not cold. Never saw anyone with umbrellas despite some heavy downpours. Unless it was really coming down we also left the top to our convertible down.
Contrast that with the broken heater at my house, woke up today to 57 degrees in the house. Glad it's also not raining.

Lupe, just to clarify a little. When it rains, it rains and clears up pretty fast. If it is raining in your area it is sunny somewhere else so don't be afraid to look around for a sunny patch. Have a great time and try the Hula Grill at Whalers Village for fun and outdoor music.
