I haven't been in a a few years, so I don't really have uptodate recommendations. I will say that like so many other places, it seems impossible to find both, good food and a nice view.
We used to like eating at the Black Dog in Vineyard Hven, and the tables near the windows gave you some view of the harbor. Yes its touristy, but the food was good.
Your best bet is to go the clam shack in Menemsha (the Bite) pick up some fried clams, take them to the beach along with your own beer, or bottle of wine, and watch the sunset. That's the best view dining on the Vineyard
