Marriott People - Chicago
Marriott people - which downtown Chicago hotel do I choose using points - The Renaissance (Wacker St) or Marriott Magnificent Mile (N. Michigan)? Which one is nicest and why? Also, which is most convenient to everything (especially public transportation) ? Thanks in advance.

They are both nice. IMHO, they are both good for public transportation.
There was a thread on this exact question just recently. Do the search- Chicago, Renaissance Marriott. I'll bring it to the top, if I find it. So look out for it huey123.
I, myself, like the Renaissance better. I love the River location and the being more mid re theatre district and more Southern museum locations.
But others may like the North Michigan to Lincoln Park access etc. Depends on time of year too, for me and if I am going to the North side.

Just stayed in Renaissance 2 nights ago on business. I was impressed - great staff, very "upscale" feel in the lobby, about 2 blocks away from train, and room was great - huge bathroom and fabulous water view. I would definitely stay again.
