Terrible. To be honest, you really need to go down to the keys to scuba. The water off Marco and Naples is not clear at all.
When I did my classes and certification in Naples, all dives were done in a pool, and the certification was done at Key Largo.

I don't agree. Not the best I've ever seen, but certainly not terrible either. I went diving Memorial Day weekend off Marco. Viz was about 50 feet and we saw turtles and lots of fish at a couple of wreck spots. Sure the Keys are better, but if you are staying in Marco and have the chance then go for it.

Oh I'm guessing 4-5 miles. Went with Capt. Jeff of ScubaMarco. I was expecting conditions to be not so great but was pleasantly surprised.
We saw just as many fish as I ever have in the Keys, Bahamas or Mexico. The biggest difference is there's not alot of natural reefs.
