Manhattan Beach - Accommodation
Hi
Someone recommended Sea View Inn at the Beach as a place to stay in Manhattan Beach (doing a day trip on the Friday and leaving earrrrly on Saturday) so want to stay close to the airport. However, they are booked except for the really expensive rooms... any other tips/recommendations?
Thanks!
KD

In Manhattan Beach, but not oceanfront:
Belamar
Marriott
Ayres Hotel
Residence Inn by Marriott
If you want to be oceanfront (but a little farther from the airport):
Beach House in Hermosa Beach
El Segundo has some suite hotels (Embassy & others) which would be okay -- close to the airport and a short drive to/from the beach.
Have a nice trip!

Yes, Peggy is right, Summerfield Suites, Springhill and Towne Place Suites are all relatively new properties that offer very good value. Some of them are listed as El Segundo and some Hawthorne, but they are just over the Manhattan Beach border. Close to LAX and a 5-10 minute drive to the beach. Also, close to lots of restaurants on Rosecrans.
Generally, I would avoid the hotels around LAX/Century blvd. But, I guess they're okay for only one night. Probably about a 15 minute drive to El Segundo beaches and another 5 to MB.

Try the Hawthorn Suites on Sepulveda Blvd. in MB. Easy to return to airport the next morning.
