makena surf construction

Hope someone has a recent update on the construction at makena surf condos. The last review on trip advisor said it was unbelievable but out rental agent says it isn't "too" bad and ends by 4pm. Has anyone been this summer and is able to comment? We would be staying in the B building the last week in september. We plan on spending the first week at the palms and now with this new information are looking at maybe Kannapali or somwhere else for the second half. Does anyone have any suggestions - hopefully beach front in that area? Since we are staying on a non-beach for the first week we are willing to "splurge" for the last few days of our stay. Any ideas would be wonderful. Thanks Jeannette

Can you move to a building that does not have construction going on?

If you do intend to move, look at Polo Beach.

Thanks for the reply! The problem with moving to another building is losing the ocean front view and being right on the beach. And at $500+ a night what is the use of that? I understand they are even redoing the sidewalks! Anyway decided to look to the west and was thinking of Kapalua Bay villas - anyone have experience with that end of the island? All ideas are greatly appreciated. Jeannette
