Maine Lighthouses + Photography question
We would be visiting Maine in the next few days. Among other things we would be visiting a bunch of lighthouses. I would like to get information about the best time/times of the day to photograph the following light houses. I appreciate any input provided.
Lighthouses we plan to visit:
Pemaquid Point+lighthouse
Owls Head Lighthouse
Portland Headlight,
Two Lights in Cape Elizabeth
Nubble light house(cape neddick)
Bass harbor Head Light
Thanks

Sounds like a great plan. Bass Harbor Head Light is reportedly best photographed at high tide and when it is illuminated by the dawn or early morning light. High tide this week coming up is early - check your tide chart - and sunrise is at 5:41am tomorrow. Good luck.

I don't think tides are much of a factor at Pemaquid, since it's on a bluff well above the water. Many people like to shoot from the rocks that stretch away to the west (if I remember correctly ), which might pose a problem for early morning. However, there are other angles, some including white outbuildings which achieve a Hopperish glow.
