Lunch Near NY City Hall
I am traveling with clients this week from the PATH train at World Trade Center to the federal courthouse. Any good recommendations nearby for lunch? We will be on foot. Thanks.

What are you looking for/how much time do you have. The area has tons of inexpensive places - some buffets - catering to the government workers and the thousands of jurors in the area. Then there are some much more formal places where you'll see attoneys hanging out.
So - what price range, types of food and do you want something quick or do you have a couple of hours?

Walk toward Chinatown, about 3 blocks. There are several excellent Vietnamese restaurants on Baxter Street, including Nha Trang, which I like a lot. These are incredibly modest places, but they are very popular with the people who work in the courthouse, including many judges and lawyers. Don't be surprised if you see some high-priced suits among the paralegals and jury-duty participants.

I don't have much time (about 1.5 hours) so Chinatown may work well, though I'd like a fallback in case the clients want something more straightforward (e.g. salads). Price is not a concern. Thanks.

There's an upscale Irish pub/restaurant called Pound and Pence on Liberty street. Les Halles on John Street is also a popular lunch place. Both of these are around the corner from the WTC PATH station.
