Lunch at Bryce Canyon
Hi
Leaving for our trip Las Vegas - Sedona - Grand Canyon - Bryce - Zion - Las Vegas in one week !!
Thanks to Myer for the previous help.
Any advice for lunch at Bryce ?? I did some checking and the Bryce Canyon Pines Motel restaurant looks good. Has anyone eaten there or do you have any recommendations ??
Thanks for your help !!
Murray

Hi Murray,
For a Natl Parks trip, the best idea is to buy a cooler and stock it! Get snacks, sandwich makings, fruit, drinks, lots of water! The parks are full of gorgeous views for picnics - enjoy! (Just don't feed the ground squirrels!)
Otherwise, you could get a sack lunch from Ruby's (just outside the park). I believe there is also a limited menu available at the general store at the Bryce Lodge. You will be paying a lot for either, and it won't be nearly as good or fun.

One thing I didn't realize until I was actually there is that Ruby's (the closest place to Bryce) is still several miles from the park entrance. So it's fairly inconvenient to trek all the way out of the park to find something for lunch if you're just there for a day or two. So basically it's the lodge restaurant or picking up some sandwiches to eat later in the day (that's what I'd recommend).

Any of these places...GC, Zion, Bryce, we've made sandwiches and eaten on the trail, or just brought power bars and snacks. It's too time consuming to come back sit in a restaurant, and eat at lunch. Eat a big breakfast, snack at lunch then have a nice dinner.
