Where is there a good place to store luggage for a few hours in or near Penn Station in NYC?

I think Fiddler is a great choice for kids that age, as it has a serious story to tell along with great music. Stomp is a lot of fun, but very loud, get seats towards the back.

I think the rules on checking backing may change from time to time due to changing security levels, but here are some suggestions for people to contact:

1. If you are coming in via an Amtrak train, you should be able to store your bag in Penn Station in their baggage claim room. You might give them a call at 800-872-7245 or check amtrak.com

2. Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) (718) 217-5477

3. New Jersey Transit : Customer Service (within N.J.) (800) 772-3606
Customer Service (Out of State) (973) 491-9400
e-mail: [email protected]
Customer service is open 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST, Monday - Friday

Penn station has luggage storage areas, i've never heard anything bad about it and know several people who have made use of it.

I used it a couple months ago. You have to pay a few dollars per bag. I don't remember how much it was. The luggage storage is near where they screen the checked luggage for the trains.

I used it after returning home to NYC from a train trip...I had no time to take my luggage home before attending a basketball game at MSG. It cost me about $4 or $5 for 1 bag for a few hours. I don't remember if it was necessary to have an Amtrak ticket or not.

I've used it- last time just about a year ago, and I did have to produce an Amtrak ticket.

I've used it and have also had to show my Amtrak ticket. It was really convenient, though.
