LoveItaly - I am sorry to hear about all the things you are going through right now. My prayers are with you and your SIL's family. Glad to hear that your grandson's eye is going to heal. I would certainly think about sending him off to Utah but as others have said, you just have to take one day at a time.

If your grandson does take the trip, I'll share this experience. Years ago I had a college friend who wore an eyepatch. Looked very debonair! He approached me one day to ask if I would help with the medicine. He needed help squirting the medicine in his eye during the day. His injury was caused by a neigbor in a DUCK BLIND turning and shooting him in the eye rather than the duck! If grandson has someone responsible (even dad) to put the meds in, he should be fine.
