Looking for suggestions
This is our first trip to california, and we are going in mid-February and staying in Anaheim. I am going with three others (ages 15,20,21). We are spending two days in Disney, one in Universal, one at the San Diego Zoo, and one in Hollywood. We also have a "beach day" planned. We are looking for suggestions since this is our first and probably only trip to CA.

Sounds like you've got all the theme parks covered. I'd maybe do a day of the beaches in Malibu, Santa Monica, and/or Venice Beach. Actually, that could keep you occupied for a while. You could check out Beverly Hills and Rodeo Drive, also. You could check out UCLA and Westwood (catching a movie in Westwood is always fun).

I hope you're not planning on going in the water. You'll need full length wetsuits and even then your feet, hands and head will be freezing. Water temps in the low to mid 50's. Air temps anywhere from high 50's to low 70's but most likely mid to high 60's if sunny. I agree with other posters, venice and/or santa monica for the most entertainment. But another idea is to rent bikes and ride the beach path anywhere from redondo beach to Santa Monica stopping at Venice, Hermosa, Redondo(the whole path 20 miles long so there are many options on where to start). Go to Santa Monica Place- a four block long pedestrian mall where all the cool people hang out and great to watch people. Two days in Disneyland may be a little much especially for the age group. You can easily do it in one long day. Try not to stay in Anaheim. Too boring. Stay along the beach in Newport or even in Costa Mesa by the huge and very nice Costa Mesa Shopping Mall.

I have been researching a return trip to southern Cali and I recomend making a trip to pasadena, very pretty with a nice walking/shopping street downtown, Santa Barbara is worth the drive and it is beautiful--take a picnic and stop at a beach--bring a blanket and jacket. Driving Hwy 1 through Malibu is a must.
