Looking for lodging in Homer, Alaska

We are trying to decide where to stay for two nights. Would like not to be isolated from other travelers as we like exchanging travel stories. Any suggestions? Warnings? Tips?

We have narrowed it down to:

Bear Paw Adventure Cabins
Twin Creeks Trailhead Lodge
Halcyon Heights B&B
Aloha B&B
Brigitte's Bavarian B&B
Timber Bay B&B in Fritz Creek
The Spyglass Inn B&B
Pioneer Inn in downtown Homer
Ocean Shores
Ship Captains View
Hoedel's Homestead Cottage

you didn't mention this place but this is where I stayed

They were very nice, beautiful views- we really did not spend much time in them- had small kitchens which we really did not use as they have a free breakfast

Loved Homer-

We stayed here: Ocean House Inn
www.homeroceanhouse.com/
The Homer Ocean House Inn Hotel & Condos. Let your eyes skim the ocean waves of Homer Alaska as they play over the mountain peaks of Kachemak Bay!
It's up on the bluff overlooking Homer, beautiful sweeping views.

We stayed at Land's End. The kids loved playing on the beach and watching the sea otters. We enjoyed great fresh caught (by me) halibut at Captain Paddy's. Highlight of the trip was the ferry on the Danny J and lunch at the Saltry. Also had a great meal at the Homestead.

POlson- I agree the trip on the Danny J to the Saltry is great- we went for dinner instead of lunch.
One of my highlights of the trip also

We stayed at the Mermaid in downtown Homer several years ago. Very nice. Great restaurant and neat little bookstore at the same site.

we stayed at the Beach House B&B in Homer. It was really nice. Its a pretty small b&b (maybe 4 rooms) and they don't have a common breakfast area, so we really didn't interact with other travelers much. We did chat with our host a little bit. I really liked the place, great views, comfortable room, and a lovely wood fired hot tub. Plus there were a pair of bald eagles nesting nearby that spent a lot of time flying around the yard and deck. I got my best eagle pictures right there.

Bay Avenue B&B. Nice folks, great food, international guests, good rates. We had amazing views of the bay from our room and the rear deck.
