Can anyone tell me the nearest grocery store to Yountville if there is not one there?

Alohhhaaaa Wandy,
Ranch Market is located on Washington St down near Wine Garden Restaurant.

A bit on the high side but it's convenient....Nice little deli in the back.
You may want to stop at the Safweway up in St Helena or the Raley's in Napa if you want to do big grocery shopping.

Hello wanderer. If you will be going by Napa I would suggest you check out Genova Deli on Trancas St. in Napa.

Old time Italian Deli. They opened up their first place in Oakland CA around 1920 I think.

They are known for their food. Grab a number and try not to buy too much, it is hard not to do that however, the aroma makes one soooo hungry.

They also have onsite dining if you need to eat "right at that moment".

Hi Kal, so wanderer you could buy the basics etc. at Raley's (they are a great supermarket) and then go to Genova Deli for some goodies without loosing a lot of time. Do have a good trip.

Yes, the Oakville Grocery store is fantastic. It does not sound as though you will go hungry wanderer.

Is ranch market similar to Sonoma Market? We loved that place.

Does anyone know if Raleys or Safeway stays open until midnight like in Sonoma? We found that a great convenience.

Can't wait to come back out that way!!

Hi wanderer, I would think that Safeway and Raleys would be open until at least 11:00pm. Have you tried their websites, maybe you could get that info there.

I love the Sonoma Market too. Wonderful store I am not famaliar with Ranch Market but since Kal suggested it I am sure it will be very good.

wandy and L'Italy,

Not as good as the Sonoma Market IMHO.

Remember, Dean and Delucca is just up the road, too. Buffalo Mozzarella!
