Napa/St Helena lunch spot?

Tomorrow (Wed.) I'm heading over to St Helena on business. I'll be getting to Napa 1:30/2:00-ish. I'll be free until around 5PM before my meeting. So what would be a good place for a late lunch/early dinner somewhere in the Valley?

I'm open to just about any sort of food but want to keep the cost below about $20. Won't be drinking so great wine list isn't important. Really just want a yummy lunch where reservations aren't required since my plans may change.

thanks

I do think I can do better than BK for $20 w/o wine. Any other ideas??

Taylor's Refresher has been featured on Food Networks Diners and Drivethroughs show, and I believe it has also been written up in Gourmet or Bon Appetit. I am definitely trying the ahi burger when I'm in Napa in July.

I'm sorry, that was rather "snarky" of me...but things are rather expensive in the wine country, esp. for a gourmet lunch.. I think Tra Vigne has a take out deli, as does Dean and DeLuca (sp?) both in Napa. Oakville Grocery also comes to mind. These suggestions involve sort of a "picnic" type lunch...maybe not what you had in mind, but it would be good....

OK - I don't read "gourmet" anywhere in my post. I know lots of good/great places to eat over there but mostly over on the Sonoma side. I am looking for a $20-ish lunch in the late afternoon. And w/o wine I'd think there would be something between BK and the top end.

beckytx: Thanks, looks yummy and one location is not far from my hotel and the other close to my meeting so if it must be a burger, Taylor's could work.

But honestly - a girl can't find a lunch in the Napa Valley for $20???

jj...Go Fish.

Patio should be open and the roasted bannana-rum ice cream sandwich is deadly!

Wish I would have known you were going over. We are running low on Napa Valley Olive Oil Manuf Co OO and we could have ride-shared!

Slightly OT (but still about Taylor's) - do they serve the ahi burger at the Ferry Bldg location (lucky me, I work right across the street)?

Sweet potato fries!! - I'm there

Kal - would have been nice. But today is pretty hectic and tomorrow I'm taking a short (waaaay too short since I have to be back in Sac on Friday) break over on the coast.

Can I pick you up some OO?? (sounds like a secret code ) Where should I look?

Cindy's Backstreet Kitchen in St. Helena is very good, great food in a casual ambiance. There is also Tra Vigne in St. Helena. Have fun! ***kim***

jj,
Thx darling but Mrs Kal and I may take a quickie NV trip this weekend...esp after all of this Taylor's talk!

We usually bring back a few extra bottles for other The 'ville Italians.

***k***, Is Cindy's doing coupons now?

Speaking of Tre Vinge, jj, the Napa Olive Oil Manuf Co is right down the street from where you turn to go into the TV parking lot.
Very good OO and a lotta Italian cold cuts/cheeses etc.

Boon Fly Restaurant on the Carneros Highway not too far from Napa towards Sonoma. Great food & a fun place. Kal - I'll be seeing the little Mrs on Sat. a.m.
