Looking for cottages in Key Largo

I stayed in Key Largo a few years ago at a place that was owned by a German couple and was right on the ocean. The small resort had around 9 small cottages and a boat dock where we would watch the sunset. I can't locate the name of the place and I want to visit there again in November. I thought that the resort was located around the 99 mile marker and there were several resorts clustered toghether (one had a sign with a dolphin or manatee) Any ideas?

Yes I could find out for you. I go to Key Largo a lot and used to own property there. A nicer place is called Kawama Yatch Club. It's on the atlantic side on mm 100. It has condos and townhouses for rent during the winter months. Get into yahoo and do a search for Miguel Argumosa(the owner). Then click on key
largo vacation rental florida keys home. You will see his property. Now, this is the nicest and most expensive one there. There are are cheaper ones(and smaller) for rent.

Could it be Largo Lodge. Its on the Bay side, not the ocean so maybe not. It has 7 rooms, a boat dock and a great sunset view.

Shirley: you said "right on the ocean" but if you were watching the sunset from the dock I suspect you were on the bayside. From your description it might be Neptune's Hideaway or Popps. They are near Hobo's and the Caribbean Club. Sound familiar?
