Thanks, thought we might try Kips Irish Pub or Stacy's Grille looks interesting, and our other choice would be Murry's. A tough decision, we want to have a wonderful experience at a close location to St Louis Park. Any more suggestions? thanks for the reply

SLP is so close to downtown Mpls, I'd just go into the city. 5-10 minutes max.

I'd recommend Zero, Manny's, or D'Amico Cucina.

Sorry! Not Zero, Zelo. Who would name their restaurant Zero?

Had Zero Mostel been inclined to run a restaurant, he might have called it Zero's. ;^)

For Italian, La Bell Vie.
For Steak, Manny's.
For Seafood, Oceannaire.

Not sure if this trip has occured yet, but SLP is near the 50th/France area in Edina, where a restaurant called Tejas does a nice job with Southwestern cuisine.

I'd also go to downtown-- there are nicer options there than SLP. If you are set on staying in SLP, try Brix (Italian).

In downtown, I like the previous suggestions of D'Amico Cucina and Manny's. I have not been to La Belle Vie since it moved to Mpls but really enjoyed it at the other location. LBV was recently named one of the top 50 US restaurants by Gourmet.

In addition, I like Cafe Lurcat (New American), Solera (tapas), 112 Eatery (probably the most casual of the ones listed but the food is excellent), and 20.21 (Wolfgang Puck restaurant located at the Walker Art Museum).

Happy eating!

Eat at the Chambers Restaurant; 9th and Hennepin in downtown. Not only is the hotel the newest, hippest spot -- but the restaurant, too. There is also an outdoor icebar which is a real trip. Second to that is the 112 Eatery, also downtown Mpls.
