Looking for a Spa Vacation

Would like to take a vacation in the Southeast at a spa. Any suggestions for this area?

Jill,
I've never been to this place but it looked nice from their internet site and brochure. Check it out....

Jill: Check out Turnberry Resort in Aventura, FL. Also Doral is excellent in Miami. Not sure if you wanted to go this far Southeast, but my wife and I have been to both several times. Doral has the better spa of the two. Turnberry is a much better all around facility.

Jill:

I realize this is not in the Southeast, but last year I went to a Spa just outside of Guadalajara, Mexico called "Rio Caliente" (which means 'hot river' in Spanish). It's a very quiet, laid back relaxing kind of place and very reasonably priced. They do have a website, which I believe is "riocaliente.com".
And also, I think there's a Spa magazine which would have good info on Spas in the U.S.

think the one post refers to Sanibel Harbor resort and spa. It is a nice facility but NOT on sanibel island.

One of my nicest spa experiences was at Safety Harbor spa on Tampa Bay. My husband and I went together and met in our little robes in the dining room for
breakfast and lunch, but otherwise we were being massaged, facialed, stretched, and exercised all day long. Lovely dinners with wine at night. Excellent food, we weren't hungry and lost a little weight and a whole lot of stress.

The Cloisters in GA may have one.
Grand Bay Hotels are putting mini-Golden Door Spas in each of their hotels soon. Grand Bay Coconut Grove may have one in Miami. If not, they have one in Puerto Rico (Las Casitas), Telluride, Phoenix and the original outside San Diego I went to.
