Looking for a mail order Lobster

Hi New Englanders, I would like to send a live lobster dinner (gift cert) to my parents for XMas. I have done this once in the past and the serivce from the company was not great.

I wonder if anyone on this forum has ever done this with good results.

Thanks for any input, Lynnie

Lynnie,

www.portlobster.com in Kennebunkport is a family owned business. I have shipped to friends all over the country...to great reviews. Even from the Maine *natives* who have moved on to warmer climates.

The prices on their website include overnight shipping costs.

P.S. Make sure your parents have a huge pot to cook them in. Also, it would be good if they had nutcrackers to open t he claws.

I've both received and given from the above mentioned livebob.com. GREAT service, prompt delivery, and absolutely yhummy, fresh tasting food. Also ordered a package including New England clam chowder, filet mignon, and dessert. ALL were DELICIOUS!!!

the dessert was one of their cheesecakes.

Bon appetit to you and your parents.

Okay, Legal seems to be the favorite. I'm torn between them and PortLobster.

Thanks for the input.

Just a note... genuine Maine lobsters will never have a a "V-shaped" notch cut out of their tails.
