Looking for a great day spa "off-strip".
I'm looking for a Las Vegas area day spa that is off-strip (taxi ride is fine) that I can book in advance of my trip. I did this a few years ago but can't remember the name of the spa. It was less crowded and less expensive than the hotel day spa's. Suggestions? thank you.

Sorry, Loudensmom, this is not really an answer to your question, but just as an FYI, Canyon Ranch Spa at The Venetian is VERY expensive. I was staying there on a business trip had an extra hour or two when I arrived and decided to get a quick pedicure. I don't remember exactly what it cost, but I swear it was close to $100! I knew it would be pricey, but I thought this was pretty ridiculous even if it is Canyon Ranch.

I haven't done this in Vegas but it's a great idea. I have done this in other cities.
Here is the Citysearch list of day spas there, and many of the onjes off the strip have coupons on this page.

A few years ago I too was looking for an off strip spa for a massage and found a fabulous one. It's about a ten minute drive from the strip and I had a fabulous experience. The masseuse was running a little late so instead of just making me wait, I was given a free bath to relax before my hot stone massage. My 90 minute hot stone massage cost I believe $125 at the time (this was about two years ago) and the masseuse/owner was wonderful. My boyfriend came to pick me up after my massage and let the owner know it was my birthday the next day. He ended up getting us a plate of fresh strawberries adorned with whip cream, chocolate sauce and a candle. Plus he allowed us privacy to enjoy it. At no extra cost! We ended up spending about two hours talking to him afterwards. It was a fabulous experience. I highly recommend this spa. Here is a link -
