Long weekend in San Francisco was too short!

Paula came to San Francisco, we started with a dinner at the Stinking Rose. They don’t overpower everything with garlic, Thursday night was not busy, the wine was good.

On Friday we went down the highway 1 with lots of stops on the way to enjoy the beautiful weather, visited 2 lighthouses, met Bruno, a young seal – the docent said, he swims there often, so they named him. Ate at Sam’s near Half Moon Bay, great place for lunch, continued to Santa Cruz, boardwalk is opened for strolling, but all rides and food places are closed. On to Kelly’s bakery, it’s in what looks like industrial area, worth the effort to find.

On Saturday we had a mini-GTG at Burma Superstar, and this place would be so worth waiting! At 11.30 there was only another couple, but by 12 all tables were taken, and a small line outside. Thereyet, we did toast you for finding this place! Awesome! After that we drove to Twin Peaks, on a clear day the views are amazing! Highly recommended.

Thank you, Paula1470, LindaL and Shanghainese for a weekend to remember!

And the photos are ready for viewing here:

We had a great time and the weather was absolutely outstanding. Couldn't have asked for 2 better days. Dayenu, the pictures came out great but you could have skipped those few showing by rear side!!!

We had the Tea Leaf Salad, Samusas, Salt & Pepper Calamari and 2 orders of Platha and Dip, went to Beard Papa later for dessert, what a lovely day!

Also drove up to Twin Peaks to see the view. When you visit San Francisco, don't miss Twin Peaks. I have been to SF so many times and had never seen the view from this location. Pretty much blows all the other views away!

There is a newish Burmese restaurant in Burlingame's downtown that also makes a great tea salad. I tried it on a recent house-sitting visit and it was excellent (but also long lines to eat!).
