Lodging in Sonoma

Can anyone suggest a reasonably priced hotel in the Sonoma/Napa area? Not particular about the location but want something nice for a good price. Thanks.

I was just there at the end of June and we stayed at the DoubleTree in Rohnert Park which we loved. It is close to the vineyards (especially Sonoma & Santa Rosa), they have an outdoor swimming pool, the rooms were really nice (maybe the best hotel bed I've slept in) and you can walk across the street to a nice restaurant, Latitudes, where you can have dinner and enjoy a bottle of wine without having to worry about driving. The only thing is that it wasn't very cheap but that might have been b/c there was a Nascar event going on so there weren't many rooms left. I recommend you look into it and have a wonderful time in beautiful wine country!

We stayed at the Rennaisance Lodge in Sonoma through Priceline a couple of years ago. The room was beautifully decorated with a fireplace and a lovely whirlpool bath. Also, the restaurant was excellent. Good luck!!!

Do try the Inn at Sonoma. Go to their website, and you may have a "special" on the days you wish to be there. It is a Four Siswters Inn, and reasonable, with delicious full breakfasts, bicycles if you wish to bike to the Square, or a vineyard ( the square is but two blocks away)- great wine and hordeuves in the afternoon, and large rooms, with a hot tub available to guests on the top floor. Stayed in May, and were so pleased we had chosen it.

We stayed at the Sonoma Mission Inn in March for $169/night. I booked through the www.winecountry.com website. When are going?

We have also enjoyed stays at the BW Sonoma Valley Inn located right on the plaza. When we walked by the El Dorado Hotel in March they were remodeling but may be open now. It's a nice hotel right across the street from girl and the fig, one of our favorite restaurants. You may want to give them a look. Have a great trip and Cheers! ***kim***
