Lodging in Girdwood
I will then follow all your suggestions on another post of this forum to prefer an overnight in Girdwood rather than in Whittier for our cruise out of Whittier.
Then, any suggestion for Girdwood ?
I would exclude B&B as they rarely can accomodate a family of 4 in one room !!

We had reservation for the Alesyka Hotel for the end of next month; however, having read several rather derogatory reviews of its current condition and having a first hand report from a friend who also felt that it was not well kept, we have elected to stay at one of the charming bed and breakfasts in Girdwood. There are several and having contacted the owners, the decision was difficult as all were very nice and helpful. The word is that the hotel is not maintained as it was when it was a Westin property.

I appreciate your statement and will also give our feedback on this property once we are back in september. Travelling as 4 people with 2 kids it is hard to find B&Bs which host 4 people in the same room, therefore our choice is relatively limited. We will just stay there 2 nights. First night after a long drive from Denali, the following day a PWS cruise, the second day away to Seward.
Having the option to use this 2 x 1 toursaver coupon for $ 175.00 TOTAL for the 2 nights (!!) I think we can accept a not first class service. This will not be the end of the world !!
