Lodging in Bar Harbor

Has anyone stayed at either The Bayview or the Harborside Hotel & Marina in Bar Harbor? And with what result? We will be there in the middle of September and are trying to decide where to stay.

I meant to add that we were also considering The Bar Harbor Inn. Of the three, which would be best?

We stayed at the Harborside Hotel & Marina in July. We enjoyed the location...easy walk to good restaurants in town and convenient to the park. Our room was clean, nice, quiet and we loved the view. We didn't require much in the way of "service" so can't comment about that. I had seen mixed reviews about the Harborside on tripadvisor.com, but wanted the location, pool and jacuzzi.
We would stay there again.

I'll put in a good word for the Bayview. Stayed there just after Labor Day 3 years ago. Lovely, spacious room with bay view (as advertised!); small but nice pool also overlooking the bay; cookies at the front desk; very pleasant service. Not right in town but within walking distance (maybe a 10-15 min walk) - I think they provide shuttle service if you're not a walker or if you don't want to drive. We never had trouble finding parking, though, on the times we did drive. I would definitely stay there again.

We liked the Bay View but found nothing special to recommend the place. Very small, very quiet, well-kept and clean, friendly, but basically just two floors of motel-style rooms overlooking the bay, with some condos out back on the hill.
