Asheville prices have frightened them into looking closer to Hendersonville. All these relocations threads make me itchy to buy investment property, but all the housing-bubble talk scares me.
A co-worker just came in my office w/ a photo of a house in Litchfield that just went on the market for $1.2 million. He sold it in '99 for $315,000. Good God.

Litespeed - it's crazy...a house around the corner from us was on the market (FSBO) all of a weekk - get this 1927 bungalow - 1500 sq ft - 3BR,2BA - .16 acre - deck....$269K - outrageous.
Sad thing is that even if we wanted to sell our house we would now have to move out further than we'd like to be or spend a small fortune fixing something up.

This just in: they have bought something in High Vista, she says they have a view, a waterfall in the yard, and granite countertops. I can't believe she forgot to tell me they won the lottery ;-)
