Litespeed Chick? Relocating friend?

Hey there LSC - whatever happened to your friend looking to relocate to Asheville area - did she find anything?

Hey, thanks for asking. She is still looking, but her husband is still also making up his mind about the new job(the offical offer was slow in coming). The house we liked in High Vista has sold already. I wish I had bought that one for an investment, I think it was underpriced. Asheville prices have frightened them into looking closer to Hendersonville. All these relocations threads make me itchy to buy investment property, but all the housing-bubble talk scares me.

A co-worker just came in my office w/ a photo of a house in Litchfield that just went on the market for $1.2 million. He sold it in '99 for $315,000. Good God.

If you see anything you think she would like, I'd love to hear about it.

the weird frowny face above is supposed to be the "b" in job followed by the first paren of the aside. An odd result.

Litespeed - it's crazy...a house around the corner from us was on the market (FSBO) all of a weekk - get this 1927 bungalow - 1500 sq ft - 3BR,2BA - .16 acre - deck....$269K - outrageous.
Sad thing is that even if we wanted to sell our house we would now have to move out further than we'd like to be or spend a small fortune fixing something up.

This just in: they have bought something in High Vista, she says they have a view, a waterfall in the yard, and granite countertops. I can't believe she forgot to tell me they won the lottery ;-)

Thanks for your help!
