Life's Little Pleasures...

When on business travel, it is so nice to have an unexpected pleasant surprise happen to you. Recently left Boston to return home here to CA, and woke up on the last morning to a gentle snow shower which was really lovely for a West Coaster to experience. Mmmm, opened the window to watch the snowfall and enjoyed a nice cup of coffee before leaving the hotel room. Last summer in Chicago a business associate of mine blew off our last half day of meetings to take me to Wrigley to watch baseball. Glorious day.

Anyone out there had surprise experiences that ended up being a treasured moment?

The Pats are still under .500 in super bowl victories. Go back to sleep because the J_e_t_s will knock them out of the playoffs.

Last I checked, pats and jets have the same # of super bowl victories. And I'll even take the 2 losses to the jets barely being .500 in those seasons. In fact I think in '86,the pats beat the jets in the playoffs, and in '96,the jets were 1-15. Good game this weekend, anyway. Merry christmas!

Pats beat nobody. We REALLY shocked the world. Who will be remembered longer?Joe Willie Namath or Tom Brady?
Merry Christmas to you, too.

The Rams were the "greatest show on turf". However,I think they were both the largest underdog to upset. Brady is just getting going, He will be wearing pantyhose like Joe Willie as well.

The greatest pleasure I had this year occured during a vacation that I was really not looking forward to. For our annual vacation in combination with my daughter's birthday, she wanted to go to Graceland. Me, not being a big Elvis fan nor really wanting to see an old shrine to a musical mortal, was a little blah about the whole idea. But it was worth it all when I saw the excitement on my daughter's face when we drove up and spent the whole day there and when she had her birthday dinner of a peanut butter and banana sandwich. Silly, I know.....

Being on one of the only two flights to leave IAH the day of the June 2001 floods, to Hawaii no less, as thousands stood stranded.
