Legoland or Disney
Legoland or Disney for a day in Florida? Our kids are 5yrs & 7yrs old. We are visiting Florida and thinking of driving to Disney or Legoland for a day. Suggestions? We will be about 2 hrs away from each and do not plan on staying overnight at either places. We always do the beaches and other sights in Florida but have never done Disney or Legoland with the kids. Our kids really love Legos but also Love the Disney characters so we are at a road block in which one to do. My husband and I have been to Disney before and have done all the parks so we realize that staying at Disney would be more worth our time but again we don't want to stay there this time and only want a day trip. We know one of these parks will be completely worth the trip for our kids but which one? Looks like the prices are about the same give or take.
Thoughts or reviews on Legoland? Need help making a decision.......

If you have to drive a long distance, then Legoland. In order to maximize your time at Disney, you really need to arrive early, and that doesn't seem possible with your situation.
You say "two hours"? Where is that? If in Tampa or that area, perhaps a better place would be Busch Gardens.

To me, Disney wouldn't be worth it if you can't get there at park opening and stay for the fireworks. If you're willing to put in a very long day, then Disney does give you a lot of bang for your buck. I think it would be better to save Disney for a trip where you can stay and play for at least a few days.
Our kids got some small Lego sets (the ones that are in a bag for $4) this year that came with free one day passes to Lego Land for ages 3-12. It is a coupon on the back of the bag. It might be worth looking at the back of a few of those bags in the store to get free tickets.

On the pricing...if you use the coupon I mentioned, which are currently on the backs of the $4 Lego packs, a family of 2 adults and 2 kids can go to LegoLand Orlando for $174. The price for the same group at Magic Kingdom would be $409.
